Student Regulations
1. All students will address Black Belt Instructors as “sir” or ma’am”.
2. Instructors must always be addressed formally in the school as Mr., Mrs., or Miss. Personal relationships must always take a back seat to school protocol. If you are friends with an instructor, please wait until you are outside of the school before using informal conversation.
3. Always set a good example for lower ranking students. It is only natural they will attempt to emulate senior students.
4. Students are not allowed in the office unless they have business to which they must attend. Always knock before entering.
5. No shoes allowed on the workout area.
6. Students must wear correct Taekwondo uniform and belt, except by special permission.
7. No striking, kicking or leaning on the walls. No touching the mirrors. No horseplay allowed in or around the school.
8. No leaving the workout area during class without the permission of the instructor or ranking student in charge.
9. All students must wear protective equipment while sparring. All children must wear a mouthpiece and headgear while sparring.
10. Fingernails and toenails must be kept clean and trimmed. All uniforms must be washed and kept clean.
11. No smoking allowed in the school area by the student or their guests.
12. No alcohol or drug consumption before class. A student with alcohol on their breath, or otherwise impaired, will be excused from the class.
13. No gum chewing while in class or in the workout area.
14. No vulgar language in the school.
15. Promotions will be based on class attendance, general aptitude of Taekwondo, and knowledge of current material.
16. No student will speak of another school, style, instructor, or student in a degrading manner.
17. Permission should be obtained before a student works out at another martial arts school. This in not an attempt at censorship, but a use of courtesy and respect.
